C’est en partant de blocs de Basalte (roche volcanique R\u00e9unionnaise) de textures vari\u00e9es que le sculpteur local R\u00e9unionnais Marco AH-KIEM a taill\u00e9 dans sa propri\u00e9t\u00e9 sa repr\u00e9sentation de La C\u00e8ne en Basalte<\/strong>, \u0153uvre qu’il a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 une poign\u00e9e de proches le jour symbolique de ce Jeudi Saint 2012 (5 avril).<\/p>\n

Plusieurs plans de table de La C\u00e8ne ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit depuis des si\u00e8cles et c’est celui r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 par les visions de Maria VALTORTA qui a inspir\u00e9 Marco AH-KIEM pour son \u0153uvre.<\/p>\n

Du cot\u00e9 de ses dimensions, cette sculpture qui aura n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 1 ann\u00e9e de travail \u00e0 l’artiste p\u00e8se 15 tonnes et fait 8m de large sur 3m. Le Christ, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 debout a \u00e9t\u00e9 taill\u00e9 dans un bloc de basalte rouge d’un m\u00e8tre quatre-vingt-dix de haut.<\/p>\n
